Activities for SEP Programme

The programme consists of a series of activities such as research activities and service learning opportunities etc., that participants are required to participate:
- Communication Skills
- Language Courses - a serial of tailor-made courses, such as English Enhancement Course and Scientific Writing, will be provided to strengthen participants' language skills
- Presentations - three presentations will be made by each participant to strengthen their oral English and presentation skills. Participants are free to decide any topic they like
- Self-Reflection Reports - participants will be required to submit a self-reflection report each year to provide programme feedbacks and self-development progress
- Intellectual Ability
- Enriched Final Year Project - to do an extended final year project which explores a topic in greater depth than that normally attainable in a regular project
- Research Experience - to have research work in the laboratory of a professor on an assigned project and give presentation on the project in a symposium
- Personal Growth and Development
- Skills Training - to join the training in life skills, social skills and teamwork skills such as Outward Bound Certificate Course
- Peer Mentors - to act as peer mentors to assist learning of freshmen to gain social and leadership skills
- Student Ambassadors - to act as student ambassadors for the Faculty, e.g. help organizing events like Information Day and Science Open Day, so as to demonstrate leadership
