Eligibility

• All full-time and part-time HKBU staff, students and alumni are eligible to participate in the Competition.

 

 

Categories

Participants may enter one or both categories:

1. Logo Design
2. Mascot Design

 

 

Entry Submission

1. Submission period: 5 June to 5 July 2026
2. Complete the online form and upload your work.
3. When submitting your entries, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the Terms and Conditions.

 

 

Entry Requirements

1. Logo Design
   Deliverables for initial submission:
   • In JPG or PNG format, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, maximum 20 MB, showing: primary logo (full-colour) and monochrome white version at clear, legible sizes on a neutral background.
   • A description of up to 250 words in English, explaining the concept and how it embodies FST’s identity.
     Format: single-page A4-size PDF file
   Finalists must submit the following files by 12 July 2026:
   • Editable source files with layers in AI or PSD format for both colour and monochrome white versions of the logo.
2. Mascot Design
   Deliverables for initial submission:
   • Single-page A4-size PDF file, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, maximum 20 MB, including:
     • Character views of four sides (front, back, left and right)
     • Colour palette and a black-and-white line version
     • Three or more distinct poses and/or facial expressions
   • Submission of a mascot animation is strongly encouraged. Preferred format: GIF (2–5 seconds).
   • A description of up to 250 words in English, including the mascot’s name in English (preferably with Chinese), personality, how it embodies FST and a list of intended sample applications (e.g. social media icon, sticker, T-shirt, lab coat, event backdrop, etc.). Format: single-page A4-size PDF file
   Finalists must submit the following files by 12 July 2026:
   • Editable source files with layers in AI or PSD format
   • High‑resolution PNGs with transparent backgrounds

 

 

Judging Criteria

The judging panel will review the submitted designs based on the following criteria:

1. Creativity
2. Aesthetic quality
3. Applicability
4. Representation of FST (clear alignment with and embodiment of FST’s identity)

 

 

Awards

Logo Design Competition:

Grand Award (1 Winner)	HK$8,000
Finalist Awards (2 Winners)	HK$2,500 each

Mascot Design Competition:

Grand Award (1 Winner)	HK$8,000
Finalist Awards (2 Winners)	HK$3,000 each
